UK Intellectual Property Office reforms cause patent publishing delays

The authority has been forced to apologize to an industry body and admit that it is “falling short” of its standards.On Tuesday the IPO sent a statement to the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, apologizing for the delay to patent publishing caused by ongoing updates to the authority’s patent services. In that statement, seen by MLex, the IPO said that the publishing of some patents could be delayed by up to three months....
