CNIL fine exposes 'fake consent' tactics at Condé Nast, campaign group says

( November 27, 2025, 16:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Privacy campaign group Noyb said French regulator CNIL’s €750,000 fine against Vanity Fair publisher Condé Nast, published on Thursday, supports its long-standing complaint that Vanity Fair’s website used “fake consent” tactics despite users refusing tracking. Noyb, which filed the complaint in 2019, said that Condé Nast failed to obtain valid user consent before placing cookies and provided insufficient information about their purpose. Condé Nast didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.Statement follows....
