China outlines plan to advance development of embodied-intelligence industry

( November 27, 2025, 09:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s top economic planner will speed up the creation of industry standards and evaluation systems for embodied intelligence and build entry and exit mechanisms to foster a fairer competitive landscape, according to Li Chao, the spokesperson for the National Development and Reform Commission in response to concerns about a potential bubble and how to guide sector growth. The NDRC will also press for breakthroughs in core technologies, supporting companies, universities and research institutes working on coordinated “large and small brain” models, cloud-to-edge computing compatibility and the integration of simulated and real-world data. It plans to expand training and testing infrastructure and promote nationwide sharing of embodied-intelligence resources to speed real-world deployment.
