Google wins final approval for South Korea YouTube consent decree featuring Premium Lite

The Korea Fair Trade Commission said Google will roll out YouTube Premium Lite within 90 days of receiving the written decision, priced at 8,500 won on Android and the web and 10,900 won on iOS, offering ad-free viewing for most non-music videos plus background play and offline downloads. The regulator had been examining whether Google restricted consumer choice and undermined competition in the online music market by selling only the combined YouTube Premium video-and-music package and YouTube Music Premium, without a video-only option.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
