Meta asks EU's top court to overturn ‘aberrant’ info demands in antitrust probe

The European Commission said law enforcers should be able to access information for their probes, and sensitive data was handled appropriately. The court's president, Koen Lenaerts, cast doubt over the way Meta was litigating its challenge to a 2023 ruling by the EU's lower-tier court.Meta Platforms told the EU's highest court on Wednesday that a demand for information by antitrust investigators was tantamount to “draining an ocean to catch a fish,” saying it should be overturned as excessive and unnecessary....
