EU's AI regulatory body set to retain rotating leadership model until mid-2026

EU countries failed to agree on how to approach the changes to the board's internal rules in time for a high-level meeting next month, meaning Cyprus will likely hold the board’s chairmanship for the first half of 2026.The EU body that gathers national AI regulators is due to decide whether to extend its current rotating leadership model for six more months at its next high-level meeting on Dec. 4 while discussions continue on a permanent mechanism, MLex has learned....
