Irish competition authority seeks higher threshold for mergers notification

The move aims to keep up with the impact of inflation on deals' value and companies' turnover, while remaining in line with other jurisdictions.The Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, or CCPC, has asked the government to raise the value threshold for which a merger or an acquisition must be automatically notified for clearance, member Úna Butler told a press conference on Monday....
