Platforms have final say in UK Online Safety Act fees

A fourth consultation is open until Jan. 9. The regulator has published its final guidance on “qualifying worldwide revenue,” which establishes a £250 million threshold for companies to be in scope, with an exemption if less than £10 million of relevant revenue originates in the UK. The initial charging year is 2026-27, with the qualifying period being the 2024 calendar year.Statement follows.
