Brazil ANPD, UK Ofcom begin talks to boost online safety for children

( November 19, 2025, 16:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) has launched a strategic dialogue with the UK’s Office of Communications (Ofcom) to strengthen online safety for children and adolescents. The Nov. 14 meeting focused on exchanging best practices for implementing Brazil’s upcoming Digital Child and Adolescent Statute and the UK’s Online Safety Act.  ANPD Director Lorena Giuberti also met with Beeban Kidron of the House of Lords  at the British Parliament to discuss global standards for transparency and privacy in the digital environment.
