US FTC loss in Meta monopolization suit a win for consumers, Cato says

The decision from a federal court, which found that the FTC failed to prove its case that the acquisitions were illegal, "illustrates that the courts are still committed to protecting consumer welfare rather than the use of antitrust enforcement to serve policy goals that it was not designed for and that do not reflect the market consumers actually experience," Huddleston said.
