Amazon must follow DSA’s toughest obligations, EU judges rule (update*)

The EU’s General Court confirmed that the designation means Amazon must comply with the DSA’s toughest obligations. The judges also said the law’s requirements — including transparency, data-access and recommender-system rules — interfere with Amazon’s freedom to conduct a business but the interference is justified and proportionate to protect consumers and prevent systemic online risks.Amazon must comply with the EU Digital Services Act’s toughest obligations, judges at the EU General Court ruled Wednesday.
