Google, Meta, TikTok launch new challenge to Calif. social media law

The trio of suits ask a federal judge to find that the First Amendment bars the law’s restrictions on an "addictive feed” for Meta’s Facebook, Instagram and Threads platforms, for Google’s YouTube and for TikTok.Google, Meta Platforms and TikTok are suing California to block a state law that limits personalized “addictive” social media feeds for minors ages 13 to 17, after a federal appeals court largely affirmed the constitutionality of the “Protecting Our Kids from Social Media Addiction Act.”...
