Zillow files supplemental brief opposing Compass injunction bid in US antitrust case

( November 12, 2025, 23:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Zillow told a US judge that real estate brokerage Compass Inc.'s motion for a preliminary injunction against Zillow as part of its US antitrust claims is "antithetical to innovation and competition," would erode a product "loved by millions," and impede Zillow's ability to continue to innovate. The injunction would force Zillow to display Compass property listings on its own site for free, dictating the terms on which the companies deal and denying Zillow the right to deny dealing with a rival, Zillow said in its supplemental brief in opposition to Compass's motion filed in the Southern District of New York. Should the court grant the injunction, "Zillow will be harmed by being forced to carry advertisements that undermine its mission, underwrite a competitor’s business strategy, and support an anti-consumer business model that degrades Zillow’s platform and impairs its ability to compete on the merits," the company said.See attached file....
