New Zealand banks, retailers denied interim authorization for Armourguard bargaining

In a decision announced today, the New Zealand Commerce Commission said it had declined the New Zealand Banking Association’s application for interim authorization, although it was continuing to consider the association’s application for full authorization to negotiate with the company, which trades as Armourguard. “Two of the three commissioners who considered the interim application, Chair Dr John Small and Commissioner Bryan Chapple, were not satisfied that it is appropriate to grant interim authorization,” the watchdog said in its statement.The full statement follows: ...
