UK data centers in scope of additional cybersecurity oversight under new bill

The move, left undecided in April’s policy paper, confirms data centers’ inclusion alongside existing essential sectors. Operators would have to meet baseline security standards and notify major incidents within 24 hours, with a full report in 72 hours.
