The Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, expanding on policy proposals unveiled in April, confirms data centers’ inclusion in the scope and introduces statutory powers for ministers to direct regulators during national security threats. It also adds 24- and 72-hour reporting deadlines, tougher turnover-based fines, and new designation powers for “critical suppliers.”Statement follows....
