Google Play store injunction overly broad, US Chamber of Commerce says

( November 5, 2025, 22:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Chamber of Commerce told the US Supreme Court that an injunction against Google regarding its Play store was not narrowly tailored to the harm established in Epic Games’ antitrust case. It argued that the district court failed to assess whether the forced-sharing and forced-carrying requirements were necessary to remedy the alleged conduct. “Absent correction, the [US Court of Appeals for the] Ninth Circuit’s decision will invite future district courts in that circuit to impose antitrust remedies that are equally untethered to an established antitrust violation,” it said.
