Mallinckrodt accused of blocking competition for pain pills in US
( November 5, 2025, 19:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Mallinckrodt has been accused in a US complaint of illegally monopolizing the market for the manufacture and sale of pain pills containing Oxycodone and the Acetaminophen USP by refusing to deal with KVK Tech in supplying Oxycodone and Acetaminophen USP active pharmaceutical ingredients without a legitimate business reason and despite doing business for several years. “Among other things, defendants’ dominant control over the availability of Oxycodone and APAP products in the market will allow defendants to steer consumers of these medications away from rivals.
