Entain, Cointree actions top list of Australian AML watchdog's enforcement achievements

( November 4, 2025, 01:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Civil-penalty court proceedings targeting international sports-betting company Entain and the imposition of penalties on crypto exchange company Cointree are among the enforcement achievements of Australia’s financial-crime regulator in the 2024-2025 financial year. In releasing its annual report covering the year between July 2024 and June 2025, the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre also listed enforcement notices against Mercedes Benz Financial Services and Mindil Beach Casino over the companies’ AML/CTF compliance programs, along with the 16 infringement notices issued to businesses over AML processes, as further evidence of the watchdog’s recent enforcement priorities.The annual report is attached. ...
