Reddit, Kick to be captured by Australia's social-media ban

( November 5, 2025, 01:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Online forum Reddit and Australian streaming platform Kick have been added to the list of platforms to be captured by the social-media ban for children under 16, the online safety regulator has said. In a statement, the Australian eSafety Commissioner announced that Reddit and Kick along with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Threads, TikTok, X and YouTube have been informed of the regulator’s view that they are age-restricted platforms and are required to comply with the Social Media Minimum Age law.
