China warns Netherlands over Nexperia dispute, blames Dutch govt for chip disruption

( November 4, 2025, 07:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China has vowed to defend the company's lawful rights and urged the Netherlands to stop interfering in the internal affairs of China-owned semiconductor maker Nexperia and to work with Beijing to resolve the dispute, the Commerce Ministry said in a statement Tuesday. The ministry accused the Dutch government of ignoring China’s “reasonable requests” during consultations and of halting wafer supplies from Nexperia Netherlands to its Chinese unit, which it said disrupted production and caused turmoil in the global semiconductor supply chain. Beijing said that, in a bid to stabilize the industry, it granted conditional export exemptions over the weekend to help Nexperia China resume shipments. But the Dutch side has “continued to act unilaterally” without taking practical steps to fix the problem, the ministry said.The statement follows:...
