Clean-tech projects awarded €2.9bn in latest EU funding round

( November 3, 2025, 11:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has awarded 2.9 billion euros to 61 projects developing clean technologies, across 18 countries. The selected initiatives target emissions cuts in heavy industry, renewable energy, transport and carbon management, with the potential to cut some 221 million metric tons of CO2 over 10 years. The funding comes from the Innovation Fund, using revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System.
