EU carmakers warn of imminent output disruption from Chinese export curbs

The European Commission is due to hold further talks with Chinese officials later this week after Beijing blocked exports of microchip components in response to the Dutch government's takeover of Nexperia, a subsidiary of China’s Wingtech Technology.The EU and China need to step up efforts to find a diplomatic solution to ease Chinese export controls on microchip components otherwise European car assembly line stoppages might only be days away, Europe's main automobile industry body has warned....
