Latvian IT company appeals GDPR fine over data leak

The company had allowed the exposure of municipal data, the national data watchdog said in a statement on Tuesday. The authority said that ZZ Dats, which stores data from nearly all Latvian towns, had been under investigation after a data breach in 2024 and had failed to ensure data security.
