EU delivered €31.7bn of public climate funding to developing countries in 2024

( October 27, 2025, 13:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU and its 27 member states provided 31.7 billion euros in public climate finance in 2024, and mobilized an additional 11 billion euros in private funding to help developing countries cut emissions and adapt to climate change, the Council of the EU said on Monday. About half of the support targeted adaptation or cross-cutting projects, involving both climate-change mitigation and adaptation initiatives.
