Cloud providers see EU Commission set out its approach to ‘cloud sovereignty’

Though limited to its own tenders, the framework may preview how cloud sovereignty will be defined under the upcoming Cloud and AI Development Act and the accompanying guidelines for cloud public procurement.The European Commission has published its internal approach to ensuring so-called “cloud sovereignty” to avoid dependence on foreign cloud providers for public procurement procedures, which could influence upcoming initiatives in this space....
