Samsung SDS-led consortium sole bidder for South Korean AI computing center

( October 22, 2025, 06:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A consortium led by Samsung SDS was the sole bidder in a South Korean government tender to select a private-sector partner to build and operate a proposed national AI computing center, the Ministry of Science and ICT said late Tuesday. Announcing the result of the bidding, which closed Tuesday, the ministry said the consortium proposed building the computing center at the Solaseado Data Center Park in Haenam, South Jeolla Province. It did not provide further details on the consortium, which would lead a project to create the country’s main national computing infrastructure with an investment of more than 2 trillion won ($1.4 billion).
