UK privacy, film regulators among recipients of £9m innovation funding

( October 21, 2025, 23:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK government has promised £8.9 million in funding to reduce the regulatory burden on tech businesses to promote better use of technology, including in public services. The funding, being delivered through the Regulatory Innovation Office, will go to 16 projects — including an Information Commissioner’s Office panel on regulating neurotechnology and a British Board of Film Classification tool that uses AI to scan videos streamed on demand.
