US Supreme Court turns away EcoFactor appeal over damages expert testimony

By Nick Robertson ( October 20, 2025, 19:54 GMT | Insight) -- The US Supreme Court denied certiorari Monday in EcoFactor’s appeal of an en banc US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit decision which granted Google a new damages trial in a patent infringement case, overturning a $20 million damage award. The denial is a “missed opportunity” for the high courts to revise damages law, experts told MLex.
