Anthropic, authors' $1.5bn copyright deal likely to win final approval, US judge says

Class members will get a per-work award of about $3,000, which is four times the statutory minimum for ordinary infringement ($750) and 15 times the statutory minimum for innocent infringement ($200), Alsup said. "Achieving this per-work amount across nearly a half-million works at once makes this the largest copyright class action settlement in history," Alsup said.
