Pinterest, WhatsApp get Irish order to weed out 'terrorist content'

( October 17, 2025, 11:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Pinterest and WhatsApp are “exposed to terrorist content” under the EU’s Terrorist Content Online Regulation, the Irish media regulator said on Friday. Both companies must now implement and report on measures to prevent services they host from being used to disseminate terrorist material within three months. The regulator, Coimisiún na Meán, will supervise compliance, with potential fines of up to four percent of global turnover for breaches of the regulation.Statement follows....
