Waymo to launch fully automated ride-hailing in London in 2026

The company which operates its fleet in US cities and Tokyo said it will “continue to engage with local and national leaders to secure the necessary permissions” for launch. The UK passed the Automated Vehicles Act in May 2024. In June this year the transport ministry said it was accelerating implementation of the act to allow automated passenger services next year.
