Indonesia seeks to launch trade talks with Egypt this year

The two countries formed a joint trade committee in 2024 to prepare the framework for a bilateral pact, which may take the form of an economic partnership agreement or a preferential trade agreement. Indonesia hopes to formally launch negotiations at the Developing Eight Trade Ministerial Meeting in Cairo in December.
