( July 14, 2025, 20:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Roku moved to greatly narrow allegations by Michigan's attorney general that it violated federal and state privacy laws by collecting the personal information of children, challenging the state's authority under the principle of parens patriae to bring claims other than enforcement of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
