Meta takes steps to restrict teens' access to explicit content

( October 14, 2025, 13:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms is introducing content settings modeled on PG-13 movie ratings to guide what under-18 users see by default, according to a press release published on Tuesday. The company says it will automatically place teens in a “13+” content setting that restricts exposure to mature themes, while offering parents an optional “Limited Content” mode for stricter oversight. The update also adds new feedback tools for parents and expands AI and content moderation safeguards across the platform.
