Bunge, Procam charged with abuse of buyer power by Polish competition watchdog

( October 14, 2025, 09:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Agribusinesses Bunge and Procam Polska have been charged with unfairly exploiting their bargaining power over farmers, Poland's competition watchdog said on Monday. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection said it had collected evidence that both companies used contractual provisions that were unfavorable to farmers, concerning non-performance due to circumstances for which the suppliers were not responsible, in particular force majeure. Procam Polska also applied a deadline that was too short to notify a company that force majeure had affected the farmer's crops, it said in a statement. ...
