In a statement appearing on its website, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it had received further information from the merger parties on Oct. 2 and it had set Oct. 23 as the proposed date for an announcement on its decision. The pause on the review was the second since the deal was notified on June 17 under the existing informal-notification mechanism.
