The framework, which originated in the Asia-Pacific region as the CBPR, was expanded globally in 2022 and began operating in June. At its meeting on Wednesday, the commission agreed to revise guidelines on overseas personal-data transfers and on authorized self-regulatory organizations for personal-data protection.
