US DOJ seeks stay in PVC pipe price-fixing litigation

( October 7, 2025, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice has asked an Illinois federal judge to stay discovery in private price-fixing litigation against PVC pipe manufacturers while a federal grand jury investigates allegations of price fixing, bid rigging and market allocation against the defendants. "If full discovery were to progress in this matter at this time, the direction and focus of the grand jury’s investigation may be revealed, and the government’s ability to bring potential charges may be impeded," the DOJ said in a motion to intervene filed in the Northern District of Illinois.See attached file....
