Pork producers denied recusal of judge in US price-fixing case
( October 7, 2025, 16:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Top US meatpackers have failed to demonstrate that a federal judge should recuse himself from pork price-fixing litigation or vacate Daubert and summary judgment rulings in the case due to alleged judicial bias and conflicts of interest involving one of the court's law clerks, the judge ruled. "Even if the law clerk was found to have sufficient bias to give rise to a conflict of interest, the Court finds that disqualification and recusal is not necessary because a reasonable observer who was fully informed of the facts based on the record would not question the judge's impartiality," US District Judge John Tunheim said in an order filed in the District of Minnesota.See attached document....
