It said developers declined to participate in recent auctions, prompting the three governments to see that negative bidding — where companies pay for the right to build wind farms — was discouraging investments. Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Estonia are still considering negative bidding, the group said. Long-term CFDs could cut costs by up to 30 percent in Germany and provide a basis for competitive electricity prices, WindEurope added, urging governments to swiftly enable the move.Press release follows....
