CoStar, hotels face amended US antitrust complaint

( October 3, 2025, 23:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hotel guests filed an amended complaint in the US Western District of Washington accusing the CoStar Group and hotels of price fixing by participating in an information exchange agreement administered by Smith Travel Research (STR), which is owned by CoStar. "In response to the Court’s order, Plaintiffs have amended the Complaint to provide additional detail regarding the information exchange at issue," they said. "These additions underscore both the breadth of the exchange and the concrete ways in which it facilitated anticompetitive coordination among competing hotels."See attached complaint....
