Texas District Judge grants FTC motion to stay all pending deadlines during shutdown

Kernodle of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas has granted a motion filed by the US Federal Trade Commission to stay all pending deadlines due to the lapse of appropriations during the government shutdown. All deadlines were stayed from Oct. 2, until Congress has restored appropriations to the FTC such that any currently pending deadlines in this case are extended by the number of days of the lapse of appropriations. The litigation between the FTC and the US Chamber of Commerce challenging the agency's new pre-merger notification form is pending before the court.See order attached. ...
