US lawmakers query College Board over enrollment management software

( October 1, 2025, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The heads of the US House and Senate Judiciary committees sent a letter to the College Board requesting information on the use of nonpublic algorithms and enrollment management software for admissions and financial aid. The committees are "particularly concerned that colleges may be using EMS and other algorithms to maximize their profits or coordinate their pricing, financial aid, and admission practices," they said. Colleges that agree to use a common pricing formula or algorithm, or do so through a third party, are likely violating the antitrust laws, they said. See attached file....
