Estonia, Slovakia should better implement EU climate policies, commission says

Despite Estonia's progress on renewables, this country must do more to cut greenhouse-gas emissions under the EU effort-sharing regulation to meet the 2030 targets, and must better quantify its projected energy savings. The commission said Estonia and Slovakia should also further reduce their reliance on fossil fuels and increase carbon removals under LULUCF — the EU's Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry regulation.Full statement follows:...
