Japan adds 87 entities to export control list over WMD, arms concerns

( September 29, 2025, 08:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has added 87 entities to its catch-all export control list, citing risks the goods could be used to develop weapons of mass destruction or conventional arms. The update, effective Oct. 9, expands the so-called “foreign country user list” to 835 groups across 15 countries and regions.
