US DOJ asks for stay in Live Nation-Ticketmaster antitrust suit post-shutdown

( October 1, 2025, 18:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice requested that a federal judge issue a temporary stay in its antitrust suit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster after the government shutdown, specifically "until appropriations for the [DOJ] are restored and [DOJ] attorneys are permitted to resume their usual civil litigation functions." The agency does not know when such funding will be restored by Congress, and if the US District Court for the Southern District of New York denies the request, the government will comply with the court's order, the filing said. "We greatly regret any disruption caused by these circumstances," the DOJ said.See attached document....
