Boats Group files reply in support of dismissing rival's US antitrust case

( September 30, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Boats Group filed a reply in support of its motion to dismiss Export Yacht Sales’ US antitrust case over boat listing and marketing services, saying antitrust laws are not a tool to be wielded to attempt to inflict harm on a commercial rival. “To attack Boats Group on behalf of the International Yacht Brokers Association, Export has conjured up claims of exclusionary conduct, monopoly power, and harm to competition. But in presenting those claims, Export relies on conduct that is sixteen years past the applicable statute of limitations, presents baseless and inapplicable statistics to assert the existence of monopoly power, and dismisses the tremendous value of Boats Group’s product,” it said.
