August report didn't recommend AI copyright exemptions, Australian economic adviser says

In a parliamentary hearing, the independent, government-funded Productivity Commission said that its August interim report on harnessing data and digital technology had only included a case study on copyright law, with the recommendation that government and regulators undertake analysis to ensure laws are equipped to deal with AI.
