ACL's proposed $3.8m data-breach penalty faces Australian judge's scrutiny

In a Federal Court of Australia hearing, Judge John Halley asked lawyers to address concerns over whether the proposed penalty was sufficient to achieve general deterrence, given the size of the business of ACL, and, in particular, its revenues.
